ENROLMENT PROCEDURES AND PREREQUISITES

Applicants are accepted for enrolment on the basis that they have completed Year 12 or preferably Year 11.

Applicants will need to present their academic results and may, under certain circumstances, be required to undertake language, literacy and numeracy assessment at an interview at the school.

All interviews are by appointment only. Upon meeting these prerequisites applicants can enrol for the course of their choosing, assuming there are available places. Please note the maximum class sizes for most courses are 15-18 students (see course information).

All enrolment forms must be completed in person at the School. Once the three enrolment forms have been completed, the applicant's position in the course is guaranteed from that date forward, once the initial installment has been paid.

The initial installment (see Table of Fees) is expected to be paid on the day of enrolment.

Those applicants who believe they are eligible for subject exemptions for part of a certificate level course or for years 1 or 2 of the Advanced Diploma of Fashion Design will need to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or mutual recognition of qualifications (see below).

Applicants under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian attend the interview/enrolment appointment and sign as the guarantor for the payment of fees.

Applicants who are over 18 years of age who have another person paying part of, or the entire course fee, on their behalf, should have this person attend the enrolment appointment and sign as the guarantor.

Applicants are notified in writing of the outcome of the mutual recognition assessment.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

Approval for Recognition of Prior Learning is granted after assessment of a student's qualifications or folio. If these are not available, then assessments conducted by examination. The fee for Recognition of Prior Learning is $170 per unit of competency or module being assessed. Applications for RPL can be obtained by contacting the administration office. Applicants are notified in writing of the outcome of RPL assessment.
